Safely delivering the Idaho Cleanup Project
We are proud of our accomplishments and the outstanding safety culture demonstrated by employees during the work day, at home, and in our surrounding communities.
Internal Programs and Initiatives
We have several safety and environmental programs in place that all contribute to the exemplary safety culture.
Integrated Safety Management System · Voluntary Protection Program · Environmental Management System
Integrated Safety Management System
The Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) is a systematic, phased approach to performing work safely. Through ISMS, the Idaho Cleanup Project integrates the five core functions and seven guiding principles set forth in DOE programs to achieve compliance with federal law: 48 CFR 970.5223.
Voluntary Protection Program
The Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) is an OSHA cooperative program adopted by the U.S. Department of Energy to recognize excellence in safety and health.
VPP in the Community
The Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) has put together an array of interactive and educational safety presentations for school age children ranging from Pre-school through Middle School. For more information on these presentations or for contact information click here. Our Halloween safety presentations are especially popular -- for more information click here.
Environmental Management System
The Environmental Management System (EMS) applied at the Idaho Cleanup Project is a systematic approach to work that both protects the environment and complies with environmental regulations and requirements. A key part of the Idaho Cleanup Project's EMS is our Environmental Policy.
